Which topic should receive more attention in the exhibition over the next six months? Which climate and transformation projects seem the most promising? At the interactive voting station in the exhibition space, visitors help decide which areas to focus on and which ideas to support. Here’s how it works:
- Choose a Focus
At the voting station, visitors use wooden balls to vote on which theme will be the focus in 2026: Should it be about giving a voice to those affected, inspiring stories, alternative economic models, new relationships with nature—or something else entirely? (Period: October 26, 2025 – February 15, 2026)
- Project search
The focus has been set! The museum team then searched for projects that are active in the chosen thematic area and are breaking new ground. (Period: February 16 – April 31, 2026)
- Voting on Projects
A panel of experts selected four projects. These will be presented at the voting station in the exhibition. Which project will win over the visitors the most? They can once again pick up the wooden balls and cast their votes! (Voting period: May 15 – November 15, 2026)
- Support
The project with the most votes will receive a small financial grant and a permanent place in the exhibition. (Starting mid-November 2026)
Contributors
The four key topics for the first vote were determined in August 2025 in collaboration with representatives from organizations working in the fields of climate and transformation. Participants included: Climate Alliance Switzerland, the One Planet Lab of WWF Switzerland, Transition Bern, the Wyss Academy, and the City of Bern’s Office for Environmental Protection.
Partnership
The participatory project is supported by WWF Switzerland’s One Planet Lab as part of a partnership.
